How we handle the data you share with us.
We collect only what we need to do business with you, and we keep it only as long as we have to.
This page sets out how Schaltkulisse handles personal data — what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have to inspect, correct, or delete it. The structure follows GDPR Article 13.
The default posture is restraint. Cookies are essential-only by default. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. The data you give us through the enquiry form, the newsletter signup, or by writing directly stays with the people who need it to answer you.
Where third-party processors are involved (hosting, email delivery, the Make.com automation that routes enquiries to the right person), they are bound by data-processing agreements and are listed below.

What we collect
From the enquiry and newsletter forms: name, email, phone (optional), and the content of your message. From our server logs (held by the hosting provider for security): IP address, browser user-agent, and the path requested. We do not use first-party analytics; we do not set non-essential cookies.
Why we process it
To answer your enquiry, fulfil a contract you have requested, or send you the newsletter you signed up for (Art. 6 (1) lit. a and b GDPR). For server logs: legitimate interest in operating the site securely (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).
Who we share it with

Make.com (routing of enquiry form submissions to the right inbox). All under written data-processing agreements per Art. 28 GDPR. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it

Cookies and tracking
We use only the cookies needed to make the site work (session, locale preference, draft-mode preview). We do not set advertising or analytics cookies, and the site does not load third-party trackers.
Complaints
You have the right to complain about our processing of your data to the supervisory authority responsible for the controller. For us that is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
